Mike and Melissa

I used to be very big in the, small, Mike and Melissa fandom. For those who don't know, Mike and Melissa is a 2012 Youtube animated short about a self-insert named Mike. It is often seen online as nothing but a joke, people making the creator out as a lolcow. I, and a few others, see it differently as a work with a cool concept that had a lot more potential.

I was a very notible creator in the fandom. I made most of the fanon wiki aswell as many fan videos on various Youtube channels. Those channels being:

• Mike the Clown
• Mike and Melissa Fannon

I also had work put into a Doom wad based on Mike and Melissa, but it was never finished. It felt nice having somewhere to belong. It didn't last, though.

I became friends with a few others in the community. They heard my abusive homelive over voice calls and, along with their own life plans, we decided we should all move in together. It was great for a while, but eventually one of the friends turned on the other. I will call them friend A for now.

Friend A didn't like that friend B was spending too much time away from them along with thinking B was taking their friends away from them. A tried to turn me againt B, by saying things like B not being mentally well or as far as saying B was grooming other people in the fandom (which A would take me outside far away from the apartment to discuss) with no proof other than spending time with them.

A also would be very demanding whenever we went anywhere together. We would go to cons and they would be very strict on what we'd do and where we'd go. They didn't want me to leave their side for anything, including things we might not share interests for or even for getting food.

A would also touch me and make me touch them when I didn't want to. They would beg if I said no and I didn't want to make them mad.

The friendship ended explosively. A and B were arguing about something, I forget what, when A turned to me watching from the door and started to antagonise me, asking, 'Does this make you happy?'. B then started beating A up. A then left the apartment, which broke the lease, and me and B had to move. Me and B are still very good friends, but A hates both of us and everyone connected to us. We were all basically blacklisted from the fandom, since A owns the only real community it has.

I still do really like Mike and Melissa, and the fan works I've made for it, but it all feels like a lost era now. I can't really make anything new about it because the only people who will see it will either not care or already hate me.
